Before and after

A consulting firm's website, rebuilt from the owner's own words

Aaron Gerber runs Gerber Consulting Group, and he's part of our founding team, so this is work we did for one of our own. Here's his site before and after, and what we did in between.

Work done October 2026

Before and after

His earlier home page at gerberbusinessadvisors.com: a centered headline about counterintuitive thinking, a button for a free training, and a heading for a short video. The new Gerber Consulting Group home page: a deep blue band with the headline Build a business you could sell tomorrow, even if you never plan to, two buttons, and the cover of his book From Chaos to Profit.

What we did

  1. Started from his brief: his audience, his offer, his logo and photographs, and the words from his old site and his articles.
  2. Built the pages from it: home, about, testimonials, articles, contact and privacy.
  3. Turned eight of his articles into pages, each with a PDF to download.
  4. Connected the contact form to his own mailbox. It has spam protection, and it says "thank you" only after his mail system confirms the message went out.
  5. Had the form and the go-live steps checked by a reviewer who didn't build them, against ten written pass/fail points.
  6. Moved his domain without losing email. Before the switch, his mail records were checked against what his old provider served, and his email kept working through the move.
  7. Went live on October 29, 2026.

Why we show the checks

One catch came before launch. The first build of the contact form said "thank you" without sending anything, so a visitor would have thought their message went through. We found it before anything went live, and the form now says "thank you" only after the message goes out.

The checks were our job here, and they ran before anything went live. The rest of our work runs the same way: it's checked before it reaches you, and nothing goes out without the level of approval you chose.
